Mark A. Buzan is an able event planner, communications and policy research expert. He is able to call upon more than nine years of experience in these fields. With thorough research skills, his broad experience in government, the private sector, and in the association world have allowed him to take complex issues and communicate them to media and stakeholders alike. His accomplishments include doubling the attendance at annual meetings for two previous employers, launching a re-branding exercise, and using a unique brand of marketing communication skills to sell products and ideas to the public.

In terms of Government Relations, Mark’s experience and achievements are notable. With the Canadian Hydropower Association, Mark secured the young association’s first ever presentation before a government caucus. He also coordinated a coalition of renewable energy associations. At the Canadian Construction Association, he lobbied and succeeding in attaining inclusion of industry concerns into the respective election platforms all of the parties in parliament. For the Municipality of Allumette Island, Mark’s persistence with Quebec City secured over $30,000 in previously refused infrastructure money.
A graduate of both the Government Relations Institute of Canada and of Political Science at the University of Ottawa, Mark lead the way for research into public policy issues at the Canadian Hydropower Association into Natural Resource and Energy issues. His 5 years of experience on Parliament Hill as Executive Assistant to Jason Kenney, also gives him a unique ability to draft policy papers on a wide range of issues.
